Tastes Like Ribs

September 5, 2011

I’ve made the rib recipe before, but I cheated and used Pork Spare Ribs so I didn’t count it as an official recipe. I still had some of the pork ribs in my freezer so I cooked them up with a few beef ribs for a Labor Day BBQ. I bought the beef ribs just so I could count this recipe, but after preparing and tasting them I wish I had sprung for the beef ribs for all of them. The few beef ribs that I served were exponentially better than the pork. I suppose it is for the best since I did not want to cause a beef rib shortage in the Midwest by buying them all up. [I really hope Cyn or Mitch reads the blog today because they are probably one of the few people who will get that joke.]

If you look at the second recipe I made today then you’ll see that I am not going to have much more mental capacity for blogging. The food was good. The company was great. The Ribs were delicious.

Recipe #134: Barbecued Beef Ribs

Recipe #135: Mitch and Steve’s Oversize Kamikazes
