Another Foolish List

April 4, 2011

I can’t think of anything to write about tonight so you know what that means – TOP 10 LIST.

Top 10 Things I have learned since starting the Mike/Mitch Project

10 – When your wife says “if you cook I will do the dishes”, you should probably still do them from time to time.

9 – People would rather read about chocolate covered strawberries than SQL queries.

8 – You can buy beets that are not in a can. (Who knew?)

7 – Peanuts will burn and look like espresso coffee beans if you leave them in the oven for 50 minutes at 375°.

6 – Lobster costs more per pound than black market human transplant organs.

5 – If you tell your friends that it is for a blog they will bring you free caviar.

4 – There are eighteen different grocery stores in the twin cities that DON’T sell pork fatback.

3 – Sauerkraut is not the same thing as moldy cabbage.

2 – Bears are easier to kill than you would think.

and the number 1 thing I have learned since starting the Mike/Mitch project is

If you make a mistake you can always just add more cream and butter.

In reality the best thing I have learned so far from this blog is that it is really fun to cook with my friends and family and that I know a lot of talented writers. But that just didn’t seem funny.
