Best Laid Plans

March 22, 2011

So here’s the thing. My idea for my last guest blogger was not very well thought out. You see he is here with me and while we did manage to cook an incredible late snack yesterday, there hasn’t exactly been a lot of time for blogging. Also this guest is a consummate story teller so asking him to just type up the highlights is sort of like asking Mitch to use just a little cream.

New Plan – I’m going to let “Tim” write the story at his own pace and I’ll share it with you then. I think this will be more satisfying for all involved.

There has been some good food on this vacation and if we manage to get back to the hotel before midnight some night I may even blog about it.

Recipe #68: Jalapeno-Polenta Blinis with Sour Cream, Chives, and Caviar

Damn Good Vacation Quote of the Day: Thank you for letting us stay in your treehouse.

It’s been 80 or so every day this week. Bring the family to visit your parents!

I hear the blinis don’t go well with roller coasters.
And I second the previous post….the weather here is much less than delightful….so just be prepared!

do not come home. i repeat. DO NOT COME HOME. yes, your house is fine. and yes, your friends and neighbors miss you. but the weather….the weather….i fear your florida-weakened systems will not survive the arctic blast, three inches of ice, and seven inches of snow, not to mention the howling winds and the fact that it is not supposed to get above freezing again for the foreseeable future.

i am not kidding. just stay there, and if you get a chance, mail us food. really good food. damn good food. we need something to look forward to.
